Kaasthamandap, Lumbini leaving for Denmark to participate in Dana Cup

Kathmandu: Youth football teams of Kaasthamandap School and Lumbini Football Academy are set to depart for Denmark on Saturday night to participate in Dana Cup, a youth football tournament in Denmark.
Kaasthamandap will compete in the U-14 category while Lumbini will participate in the U-16, both in boys’ events. Each team consists of 23 members, including 20 players and three officials.
Santosh Neupane is the coach of Kaasthamandap while Bijay Maharjan is coach of Lumbini.
The Dana Cup, recognised by UEFA, is expected to feature over 1,000 youth teams from more than 70 countries. The event is organised annually since 1982 in Hjorring in Denmark. The matches are played on around 50 grass pitches scattered around the town and surroundings.
