Leaders Planning Boys maintain winning streak

Kathmandu: Phugu Ram Tharu scored a solo goal to make sure that Planning Boys would stay on top of Martyrs Memorial B Division Football League with a 1-0 win over struggling Annapurna RCT while Birgunj United sealed a comfortable 4-1 win over Shree Tushal Youth Club at the ANFA Complex Satdobato, Tuesday.

Phaguram scored the all-important goal as early as in the eighth minute through a penalty as Planning Boys maintained their cent percent winning streak. They have earned a maximum 18 points from six games to strengthen their grip atop the table. Annapurna RCT remained third from bottom on four points from equal six games.

In the second match, Bikash Das Tharu scored a brace on either side of half time. Bikram Thokar and Bibkek Chaudari were also on targets for Birgunj. Dipesh Limbu hit back a consolation for Shree Tushal.

Birgunj have earned 11 points after the third win whereas Shree Tushlal remains on six points from equal six games,
