Brigade Boys put brake on Planning Boys’ winning run

Kathmandu: Planning Boys United’s perfect start in Martyrs Memorial ‘B’ Division Football League came to an end on Tuesday as the leaders were held to a 0-0 draw by Brigade Boys Club at ANFA Complex Satdobato, Tuesday.

Planning Boys shared the spoils after six wins in row against the mid-table side. They, however, hold a two-point cushion over second placed Shree Bhagawati Club with 19 points from seven games. Brigade Boys have 9 points from seven games.

Second placed Shree Bhagwati are the only another unbeaten team in the campaign.

In the late fixture, two teams from outside Kathmandu — Jhapa FC and Birgung played a 0-0 draw.

Playing the last fixture of the seventh round, both sides  failed to create a single scoring opportunity. Birgunj have 12 points and Jhapa nine points.
