Nepalgunj:  Rautahat District Football Association registered a comfortable 3-0 victory over home team Banke XI to advance into the semifinal of the Lumbini Cup International Invitational Women’s Football Tournament at the Nepalgunj Stadium, Sunday. 

Goals from Jenifar Rana Magar, Samiksha Rai, and Indian player Piyuli Roy sealed the victory for Rautahat. Simran Rai of the winning side was named player-of-the-match.

Rautahat took the lead in the 27th minute as Jenifar turned in a header from a pass by Senu Pariyar. They extended their lead early in the second half as Samiksha Rai converted a pass from Jenifar. The third goal came in the 51st when Piyuli made a one-touch strike to convert a precise cross from Jenifar. 

Rautahat will now face the winners between APF Sports Club and Karnali Province in the semifinal.  APF and Karnali Province will vie on Monday.
