APF, Police to vie in title clash 

Kathmandu: Departmental rivals Nepal APF Sports Club and Nepal Police Club have set up the title clash of the  eighth Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial National Women’s Volleyball Tournament securing victories in the semi-finals on Friday. 

In the semifinals played at the National Sports Council’s covered hall in Tripureshwar, defending champions APF saw off former champions New Diamond Academy 25–17, 25–22, 23–25, 25–23. Jasna Mahato of APF was declared the player-of-the-match. 

APF are the most successful team of the tournament having secured the winners trophy for the sixth time except the sixth edition claimed by New Diamond.  

In the second semifinal, Police beat Tribhuvan Army Club in straight sets of: 25–6, 25–22, 25–23. Police spiker Punam Chand was named the player-of-the-match. 

The final match is scheduled for Saturday.
