Fading moments penalty secures victory for Planning Boys

Kathmandu: Fagu Ram Tharu scored in stoppage time from spot as leaders Planning Boys Club edged Birgunj United 1-0 in Martyr Memorial ‘B’ Division Football League at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato, on Monday.
As the match was seemingly heading towards a draw, Planning Boys got a penalty in their favor and Fagu converted from the spot in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time.
With this result, Planning Boys returned to winning ways and stayed atop the table with 22 points from eight games.
They were held to a goalless draw by Brigade Boys Club in their previous match as they dropped points for the first time in the campaign.
Planing Boys seems to be marching toward the promotion and they hold a four-point advantage over second place Shree Bhagwati at the completion of the eighth round. Meanwhile Birgunj remained on 12 points following the second loss of the campaign.
