APF drawn with Al Nassr in AFC Women’s Champions League preliminary round 

Kathmandu: ANFA Women’s League champions Nepal APF Club have been drawn into Group ‘B’ of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2024/25 preliminary stage alongside Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf and Thailand’s College of Asian Scholars.

According to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the preliminary round will run from August 23 to 31. Group ‘B’ matches will be hosted in Uzbekistan. 

In  the draw took place on Thursday at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the 19 teams that made to the preliminary stage were divided into five groups—four groups of four teams and one group of three. The five group winners will join seven pre-qualified teams in the 12-team finals, based on the AFC Women’s Club Competition Ranking 2024/25.

The pre-qualified seven teams include Melbourne City FC of Australia, Suwon FC of Korea, Tokyo Verdy Beleza of Japan, defending champions Wuhan Jiangda FC of China, Ho Chi Minh City FC of Vietnam, Bam Khatoon FC of Iran and yet to be determined side from the United Arab Emirates in the 12-team finals. 

Group A: Stallion Laguna FC (Philippines), ISPE WFC (Myanmar, Hosts), Strykers FC (Guam), Khovd Western FC (Mongolia)

Group B: College of Asian Scholars (Thailand), PFC Nasaf (Uzbekistan, Host), APF FC (Nepal), Al Nassr Club (Saudi Arabia)

Group C: Kelana United FC (Malaysia – Host), Etihad Club (UAE), Lion City Sailors FC (Singapore), SDYUSHOR SI – Asiagoal (Kyrgyz Republic)

Group D: Kaohsiung Attackers FC (Chinese Taipei), Naegohyang Women’s FC (DPR Korea), Master FC (Laos, Host), RTC FC (Bhutan)

Group E: East Bengal FC (India), Kitchee SC (Hong Kong), Phnom Penh Crown FC (Cambodia, Host)
