Kathmandu: In a bid to provide international exposure and opportunities for talented young footballers in Nepal, Tip Toe Sports Academy has signed a one-year partnership agreement with Silie Sports Club of Thailand.
Tip Toe Sports Academy President Gaurav Basnet and Silie Sports Club President Daisuke Tada inked the deal on Saturday
As per the agreement, Bangkok-based Silie Sports will host training camps in Thailand for promising players from Tip Toe. The club will also provide Tip Toe with essential football equipment, including balls, bibs, cones, and markers. These items will be officially handed over during a presentation ceremony at Silie Sports’ Asian Championship event in Thailand.
Silie Sports will offer comprehensive support for Tip Toe’s participation in the Asian Championship which includes hospitality, friendly matches and meet-and-greet sessions with Japanese national team players.
To help young players pursue professional football careers, Silie Sports will assist Nepali footballers in securing trials with clubs in Thailand’s first, second, and third divisions. During the trial period, the club will provide hospitality as well as access to training facilities and introductions to Thai clubs.
As part of this collaboration, former Japanese footballer Daisuke Tada arrived in Nepal on Friday to inaugurate the new facility of Tip Toe Sports Hub based in Tarkeshwar, Kathmandu. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Monday.
Tada, a former goalkeeper, has represented Japan at various youth levels — from U-15 to U-23 — and was also part of the national squad that competed in the Olympic Games.
Tip Toe Sports Hub currently operates sports academies in seven locations across the country with around 370 individuals undergoing daily training.
