Western Crystal Academy qualify for National High School T10
Kathmandu: Western Crystal Academy has clinched Far-Western Qualifier in the E-Planet National High School T10 Cricket Championship on Friday.
Western Crystal defeated Vidya Bhushan Public School by 33 runs in the final at Mohana Sports Ground in Dhangadhi.
Western Crystal will now compete in the national finals as Far Western regional champions scheduled from February 5 to 8 in Kathmandu. The finals will feature eight teams — the winners from all seven provinces and a host team.
In the final, Vidya Bhushan managed to score 70-4 in the allotted 10 overs after Western Crystal, electing to bat first, posted 104-run target.
Nabin Shah was the top scorer with 20 runs off 17 for Vidya Bhushan. Prashant Madai contributed 16 runs while Roshan BK and Bibek Duwal added 11 runs each.
Western Crystal’s bowlers Roshan Rawal, Unique Mall, and Bikki Singh claimed a wicket each.
Earlier, Western Crystal Academy posted 103-4 in the 10 over per side game. Opener Aarash Bohora smashed 37 runs off 23, comprising four boundaries and a six. Batting at number four, Deepak Kudmal played a quick-fire 33 runs-13 that included two boundaries and three sixes.
Roshan BK took 2 wickets for Vidya Bhushan.
