Kathmandu: Leaders Planning Boys United have earned promotion to ‘A’ Division with two matches in hand after they defeated Bansbari Club 2-0 on Tuesday in the Martyrs Memorial B’ Division League.

The outcome assured that Planning Boys will secure at least a top two spot irrespective of any result in the next two games. They have 27 points from 11 games.

Bansbari goalkeeper Sandeep Raut was to be blamed for both the goals as he conceded bizarre goals at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato.

Sandeep Raut gifted an own goal two minutes into the second half and Pujan Thapa hit the target for second goal.

Bansbari have 15 points and stayed at 11th place. In the early kick off, Sarswati Youth Club defeated Birgunj United 3-0 with Gyanendra Joshi, Naresh Khatri and Dhirendra Shaha getting on the scoresheet.
