Shree Bhagwati’s wait for promotion continues
Kathmandu: Undefeated side Shree Bhagawati Club’s promotion bid hit a setback after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Madhyapur Youth Association on Wednesday in Martyr Memorial ‘B’ Division Football League.
Shree Bhagawati are one of the two undefeated teams in the second tier domestic league along with leaders Planning Boys, who became first team to earn promotion this season with two matches in hand on Tuesday.
Shree Bhagawati must have been feeling the heat and are likely to earn promotion as the second team if they beat third placed Boys Union Club in their penultimate game of the campaign.
Shree Bhagawati have 23 points from 11 matches and Boy Union are third with 19 points with their promotion hopes hanging in balance.
Bikrant Narsingh Rana opened the scoring for Shree Bhagawati in the 19th minute before Sahil Dhakal replied for Madhyapur during an hour mark at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato.
