Nepal women football squad shortlisted to 31 players

Kathmandu: Nepal national women’s team head coach Rajendra Tamang has trimmed down the 48-member initial squad to 31-player.
Nepal are gearing up preparations for two friendly matches against Thailand to fine tune the squad for upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers to commence on May 4.
The team will head to Bangkok to play two matches including a closed-door training game on May 30 followed by an international friendly on June 2.
Nepal has been drawn into Group F for the qualifiers alongside Laos, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan. Coach Tamang has been appointed to lead the squad for the Thailand fixtures.
