Nepali squad announced for women’s friendlies against Thailand

Kathmandu: The Nepali national women’s football squad for the upcoming friendlies against Thailand has been officially confirmed on Friday.

Head coach Rajendra Tamang has named a 23-member squad giving continuity to the same group of players that featured in the International Women’s Championship held at Dasharath Stadium in February.

Nepal will face Thailand in two matches in Bangkok — a behind-closed-doors training match on May 30, followed by an official international friendly on June 2.

These matches are played to fine tune the team’s preparation for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers, which begin on May 4.

Nepal has been drawn into Group ‘F’ alongside Laos, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan.
