Kathmandu: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a historic three-match Twenty20 International Series against the West Indies at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Nepal will host the two times ICC Men’s T20 World Cup champions during the bilateral Series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 27 to 30, according to a press statement issued by CAN.
This marks the first-ever bilateral T20I series between the two sides. West Indies ‘A’ had visited Nepal for a five match T20 Series against Nepal last year, which they won 3-2.
“This series is a pivotal moment in Nepal’s cricketing journey,” stated CAN. The event is expected to serve as vital preparation ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers to be held in October later this year.
