Kathmandu: Nepal national cricket team star Dipendra Singh Airee has officially left the Nepal Police Club.

According to Nepal Police spokesperson DIG Binod Ghimire, Dipendra submitted his resignation from the club a few months ago citing personal reasons. “Dipendra’s resignation has already been approved,” Ghimire confirmed.

Also the captain of the Police Club cricket team, Dipendra held the rank of Assistant Constable in the Nepal Police. He received a special promotion from after setting a world record in T20 cricket during the 19th Asian Games held in China in 2023, where he scored a half-century in just nine balls against Mongolia.

Dipendra was recruited into the Nepal Police in 2016.
