Nepal cricket team finally get UAE visa

Kathmandu: Members of Nepal national cricket team have obtained visas to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the upcoming Twenty20 International (T20I) series against the West Indies, beginning on September 27.

According to a press release issued by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the team will depart for the UAE on Monday to play the three-match series in Sharjah.

The squad had initially been scheduled to leave on Friday but was unable to travel due to delays in obtaining visas.

This marks the first-ever T20I series between Nepal and the West Indies. The matches will be held on September 27, 29, and 30 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Nepal will be captained by Rohit Kumar Paudel. Nepal is playing the series as part of their preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifier set to take place in Oman from October 8.
