Kathmandu: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka has been suspended.

An emergency executive committee meeting of ANFA held virtually on Friday decided to suspend Khadka until the next general assembly.

Two weeks ago, Khadka — in the capacity of acting president — had suspended General Secretary Kiran Rai. On Friday, it was Rai himself who called the emergency meeting with the sole agenda of taking disciplinary action against the senior vice president.

According to ANFA, the meeting decided to suspend Khadka under Article 38(14) of the association’s statute until the next general assembly.
