National Basketball League: Times, GoldenGate claim 10th wins

Kathmandu: Times Basketball Club and GoldenGate Basketball Club each secured their 10th victories in the National Basketball League on Saturday.

Times defeated Solo Basketball Club 95–72, while GoldenGate Basketball thrashed Playbox Arena 112–59 at the Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall in Tripureshwar.

Times dominated the first three quarters 28–25, 28–8, 21–18 to build a strong foundation for victory, despite losing the final quarter 18–21. Shreyas Shah led Times with a game-high 24 points and was named Player of the Match.

With 10 consecutive wins, Times have accumulated 21 points from 11 matches. Solo, meanwhile, suffered their ninth defeat and sit fifth with 13 points from 11 games.

In the other fixture, GoldenGate controlled the match from the outset, winning all four quarters—27–11, 32–19, 27–10, 26–19—to seal a comprehensive victory. Dipson KC scored a team-high 22 points and was named Player of the Match.

GoldenGate also registered their 10th win in 11 matches and have 21 points. They lead the standings, while Times are second despite being level on points due to an inferior point difference.

A total of eight teams are competing in the second edition of the league, organised by the Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA).
