Lumbini clinch National Tug of War title
Kathmandu: Lumbini Province clinched the title of the fourth National Tug of War Championship defeating Armed Police Force (APF) 2-1 in a thrilling final in Chyasal on Friday.
Lumbini won the opening set by pulling APF across the line in 1 minute and 9 seconds. APF responded strongly, claiming the second set in just 45 seconds to level the contest.
With the match tied at one set apiece, Lumbini secured the championship by pulling APF across the line in 50 seconds in the decisive set.

The tournament featured teams from five provinces and two departmental sides. The top four teams from the league stage advanced to the semifinals, where APF defeated Koshi Province and Lumbini overcame Nepal Police Club to book their places in the final.
Lumbini received the championship trophy along with a cash prize of Rs100,000, while runners-up APF were awarded a trophy and Rs50,000.
The two-day tournament began on Thursday.
