Jhapa edge RCT in ‘B’ Division League

Kathmandu: Jhapa FC secured an entertaining 2-1 victory over Annapurna Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) on Wednesday in the Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division Football League on Wednesday.
Pradeep Budhathoki and Manish Limbu hit targets for Jhapa in the first half. Prajwal Gurung pulled one back early in the second half with a comeback intent but no further goals were possible.
Jhapa climbed to fifth position with seven points from as many matches following second victory. RCT, who faced their third defeat from five games, sit 12th on four points. Planning Boys lead the standings on 15 points from five games with cent percent winning record.
Pradeep gave lead to Jhapa in the 20th minute from spotkick awarded after RCT’s Suraj Gurung fouled Sanjog Khapangi Magar.
Manish doubled the advantage converting a pass by Pradeep.Prajwal cut the deficit 10 minutes into the second half.
