Kathmandu: A lone goal from Aayush Timalsina midway in the second half earned Shree Bhagwati Club a hard-fought 1-0 win against Bansbari Club on Friday to stay at second position in Martyr’s Memorial League ‘B’ Division Football League at ANFA Complex, Satdobato. 

Left unmarked inside the area, Aayush made a thumping header to turn in a freekick in the 75 minutes as Shree Bhagwati secured fourth win of the campaign. They have 14 points from six games and are one point behind leaders Planning Boys, who have a match advantage over the second placed opponents. 

Bansbari, meanwhile, suffered third straight loss and stayed at 11th place with six points from as many games.  

In the second game played at the same venue, Chyasal Youth Club registered a 2-1 win over Boys Union Club and surged into the third place with 11 points. Boys Union remained seventh in the standings with six points. 

Niraj Karki broke the deadlock for Chyasal in the 32nd minute before Ashish Tharu doubled the lead seven minutes later. 

Man Kumar Tamang pulled back a consolation for Boys Union in stoppage time.
