Paramount selected for High School National T10

Paramount Boarding High School has secured a place in the E-Planet National High School T10 Cricket Championship as the winners of the Lumbini Province Selection Tournament.
In the final match held at the Nava Jeevan Cricket Ground in Butwal, Paramount defeated Everest English Boarding School by eight wickets. Chasing a modest target of 63 runs in the ten-over format, Paramount comfortably reached the total in 7.1 overs, thanks to an impressive knock of 41 runs by Sandesh Panthi.
Ravi Yadav was the top scorer for Everest with 16 runs. Paramount’s bowler Shiva Kunwar, also player-of-the-match, delivered a match-winning performance claiming four wickets in his two-over bowling conceding six runs including a maiden.
With the victory, Paramount Boarding High School earned a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
The national-level championship is scheduled to be held from February 5 at the Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. A selection tournament is being held across all seven provinces of the country.
Earlier, Orchid College from Bagmati Province and Aastha College from Koshi Province have qualified through selection events held in Chitwan and Itahari, respectively. The next selection tournament will take place in Madhesh Province.
Altogether eight teams – Shree Shanti Model, Kanti, Paramount, New Horizon, Oxford, Horizon Gautam Buddha, St. Joseph, and Everest – participated in the Lumbini Province selection.
The national finals will be held in Kathmandu from February 5 to 8.
