Rahul & Subash share joint lead at Premier Golf

Kathmandu: Amateur Rahul Biswakarma and defending champion Subash Tamang share lead after the second round of Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship at the par-72 Gokarna Golf Club on Tuesday.
Nepal national team members Rahul and Subash are tied at the top of the leaderboard at 10-under 134. Rahul carded 7-under 65 and Subash played 6-under 66. Nepal No 1 amateur Sadbhav Acharya produced the best card of the day, playing 8-under 64, to climb third at 8-under 136.
Niraj Tamang is fourth at 7-under 137 after he carded 5-under 67 on the second round. Bhutanese amateur Nim Dorji Tamang is fifth at 6-under 138 after he carded second straight 3-under 69. Amateur Wangchen Dhondup carded 4-under 68 on the second day to move up to sixth position at 5-under 139.
Dinesh Prajapati (69) and Nepal No 1 pro Bhuvan Nagarkoti (72) share seventh position at 3-under 141. Krishna Man Rajbahak and overnight leader Ravi Khadka are tied for ninth at 2-under 142. Krishna Man carded 3-under 69 while Ravi shot 3-over 75.

Co-leader Rahul carded a bogey-free 4-under 32 on the front nine and 3-under 33 on the back nine. Another co-leader Subash carded 3-under 33 on both halves. Sadbhav took the turn at an impressive 7-under 29 followed by 1-under 35 at the back nine.
Cut was applied at 6-over 50, and 22 pros and six amateur golfers qualified for the final two rounds. Sanjay Lama, Dhana Bahadur Thapa, Sukra Bahadur Rai, Deepak Magar, Bishnu Prasad Sharma, Toran Bikram Shahi, Jayram Shrestha, Bhuwan Kumar Rokka, Pradip Kumar Lama, Rame Magar, Ramesh Adhikari, Tanka Bahadur Karki, Ram Krishna Shrestha, Basanta Raj Gurung, Shivaram Poudel and Bal Bhadra Rai are the other pros who made the cut.
In the amateur section, Tashi Tshiring and Padam Hang Limbu joined four other amateurs for the final two rounds.
