Chinese Taipei Edge Nepal 1–0 to clinch International Friendly Series

Kathmandu: Nepal women football team suffered a 1–0 defeat against Chinese Taipei in the second match of the ongoing international Women’s Friendly series in Indonesia on Tuesday.

Midfielder Ke-Sein Huang scored the decisive goal eight minutes into the second half at the Maguwoharjo Stadium in Yogyakart.

Nepal striker Purnima Rai marked her international debut in the game coming on as an 80th-minute replacement of Rashmikumar Ghising.

This is Nepal’s second defeat in the international friendly series. Nepal had faced 2–1 defeat against Indonesia in the first match.

With the win over Nepal, Chinese Taipei also clinched the series. They had defeated Indonesia 5–0 in the opening match.
