APF off to flying start in SAFF Club Women’s Championship
Kathmandu: APF Football Club made a flying start to the SAFF Club Women’s Championship with a 4-0 victory over Nasrin Sports Academy at the Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwar, on Friday.
Rashmi Kumari Ghising and Mina Deuba scored a brace each in APF’s thumping win over the Bangladeshi champions.
Forward Rashmi broke the deadlock in the 38th minute before APF added three more goals in the second half. Mina doubled the lead in the 70th minute, Rashmi netted her second in the 80th and Mina sealed the win with a stoppage-time strike.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Karachi City Football Club and Transport United Ladies FC of Bhutan shared the points in the tournament opener after playing out a goalless draw.
Transport United will face East Bengal of India, while Karachi City take on Nasrin in Monday’s fixtures at the Dasharath Stadium.
