Kathmandu: KVC Hounds registered their fourth consecutive victory in the National Basketball League, defeating Playbox Arena 83–76 on Sunday.

In an entertaining contest at the Dasharath Stadium covered hall, the Hounds dominated the opening two quarters 31–19 and 18–14 before conceding the final two 18–22 and 16–21.

After losing their first three matches, the Hounds have mounted an impressive comeback, winning four games in a row.

With this result, they have accumulated 11 points from seven matches and climbed to third place in the standings.

Playbox, meanwhile, suffered their sixth defeat and sit seventh with eight points from seven games.

In another match played on Saturday, GoldenGate defeated Kirtipur 87–72. With five wins from six matches, GoldenGate have collected 11 points and are placed fourth.

A total of eight teams are competing in the second edition of the league, organised by the Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA).

The competition follows a double round-robin format, featuring 56 matches. The top four teams at the end of the league stage will advance to the playoffs.
