National Basketball League: Hounds claim seventh straight win
Kathmandu: KVC Hounds continued their impressive run in the National Basketball League, defeating Kirtipur 79–69 to register their seventh consecutive victory.
Hounds dominated the game at the Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall in Tripureshwor on Sunday evening, posting quarter scores of 25–21, 17–11, 11–15, and 26–22.
After losing their opening three matches, Hounds have staged a strong comeback and maintained an unbeaten streak since. With seven wins from 10 games, they have accumulated 17 points and currently sit fourth in the standings.
Kirtipur, meanwhile, suffered their eighth defeat of the campaign and have 12 points from 10 matches.
Hounds’ Asim Shrestha was named Player of the Match.

In the late fixture, GoldenGate Basketball Club secured their ninth win with a dominant 100–60 victory over Solo Basketball Club. GoldenGate now have 19 points from 10 matches.
GoldenGate’s Jain Khan was declared Player of the Match after scoring 24 points.
A total of eight teams are competing in the second edition of the National Basketball League, organised by the Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA).
The league is being played in a double round-robin format, with the top four teams at the end of the league stage advancing to the playoffs.
