NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2081 postponed
Kathmandu: The 22nd edition of NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2081 scheduled to be held in Pokhara on September 14 has been postponed indefinitely.
Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, organiser Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) said that they decided to postpone Sports Award owing to the current situation of the country.
The decision comes in light of the recent Gen Z-led protests and the tense political situation in the country.
“The situation is not normal due to Gen Z-led protests and the recent events in the country. Organising the Sports Award at such time does not seem appropriate. NSJF apologises for inconvenience caused to the athletes, sports persons and international guests who were preparing to participate in the award. The new date for the Sports Award will be announced once the situation becomes normal,” reads the press release.
According to NSJF, a new date for the Sports Award will be set once the national situation stabilizes.
