Kathmandu: Host Fairyland International School and Newton advanced  into junior girls’ semifinals of the 1st Fairyland Inter-School Basketball Tournament on Friday.

In a match held at the Baluwakhani, Fairyland defeated Apex Life 26-16 riding on 18 points by Sandipa Rai. Newton earned 26-20 victory over Basantara National Academy (BNA) on the back of 10 points by Irene Rana.

In the same category, Boudha Children’s Heaven defeated St Joseph 30-20 and NCCS overcame Greenland 29-25, to secure spots in the last four. Jasmine Gurung scored 14 points for Boudha and Siona Shrestha netted 19 points for NCCS.
