Kathmandu:  Nepal Super League (NSL) side Pokhara Thunders has appointed Suman Shrestha as their head coach on Saturday. Shrestha was handed over the appointment letter by Thunders’ president and director Jamling Ghale.

Following his appointment, Shrestha said that he would put in his utmost effort to ensure the team’s success.

“I am delighted to be associated with Pokhara. I will try my best to secure title for the club,” Shrestha said.

Shrestha has been in coaching for almost a decade. He was coach of A division outfit Manang Marshyangdi Club in 2018 when the team won Martyrs Memorial ‘A’ Division League. 

Thunders had crashed out from the eliminator in the last edition of Nepal Super League. 

The auction for the third edition of the franchise based Nepal Super League will take place on February 22. Organisers Nepal Sports and Event Management are yet to announce the date of the tournament that will feature seven franchise sides.
