Army, APF enter Wheelchair Basketball semis  

Kathmandu: Departmental sides Tribhuvan Army Club and the Nepal APF Club entered into the men’s semi-final of the Kathmandu Valley Wide Wheelchair Basketball Tournament  on Monday as the final four lineup has been finalised.  

Army emerged as the group ‘A’ winners and APF finished runners up while hosts Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association (NSCIA) secured top finish in group ‘B’ and Bhutanese Integration Association (BIA) secured the runner-up spot. Army will face BIA, and APF will compete against NSCIA in the semi-finals.    

In the women’s category, the National Indigenous Disabled Women’s Association Nepal (NIDWAN) and host NSCIA have advanced to the semifinals from group ‘A’. The other group saw Women’s Sports Association (WSA) emerge as the winners and Jawalakhel Wheelchair Sports Club (JWSC) finished runners-up, with both of them securing spots in the semifinals.

The event is played at the covered hall of National Sports Council in Tripurshwar, Kathmandu.
