Dhangadhi unveil jersey, release theme song

KATHMANDU: Nepal Super League (NSL) side Dhangadhi FC has unveiled their jersey and released theme song for the franchise based football league starting on Saturday at the Dasharath Stadium on Friday. 

Dhangadhi FC owner Subash Shahi and chief sponsor My Second Teacher’s representative Medha Bhatta jointly revealed the yellow color jersey in Kathmandu. 

Dhangadhi, who have signed Nepali international midfielder Kritish Ranta Chhunju as their marquee player, are the runners up of both editions of the NSL.

Dhangadh have already announced Spain’s Juan Manuel Martinez Saiz, UEFA pro license holder, as their head coach. They have also signed winger Sergio Barboza (Brazil)
goalkeeper Walid Birrou (Spain), midfielder Mohammed El Jaaouni (Morocco), Olawale Afeez (Nigeria), and forward Ahmed Hijazi (Lebanon). Olowale and Hijazi had played for Dhangadhi in the previous season.

Devendra Tamang, George Prince Karki, Pasang Lama, Bibek Paudel, Jiyarath Sheikh, Ranadeep Paudel, Ram Chandra Waji, Prashant Laksam, Rohan Khadka, Amrit Shrestha, Harish Raj Bhatt, Santosh Mahat, and Ashok Khawas are other players in the squad.

Dhangadhi will kick off their campaign on Tuesday taking on Butwal Lumbini FC. Altogether seven including defending champions Lalitpur City FC, Kathmandu Rayzers, Jhapa FC, FC Chitwan, Pokhara Thunders FC are set to compete in the event.

The event is being organised by Nepal Sports and Event Management. Lalitpur City and Kathmandu Rayzers will vie in the opening match.
