Chhetri conducts Black Belt Dan Test and Referee Seminar in Bangladesh
Kathmandu: Raju Chhetri, the vice president of the Kukkiwon under the World Taekwondo Federation, has conducted a Black Belt Dan Test and Referee Seminar organised by the Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation.
Chhetri led the three-day Black Belt Dan Test and Referee Seminar in Dhaka which concluded on Tuesday. Around 150 participants, including national players from Bangladesh Police Ansar, took part in the programme.
The Kukkiwon of the World Taekwondo Federation had specially nominated Chhetri to conduct the Dan Test and seminar in Bangladesh.

The event was held at the covered hall of the Bangladesh National Sports Council. Special guest Shefaul Kabir, general director of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, and chief guest Ghanshyam Bhandari, Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, distributed certificates to the participants.
Chhetri is an international referee of Nepali origin who has officiated the US Open three times and has also served as a judge at the world-ranking G-1 Kimunyoung Cup, the Japan Open in Osaka and the Seongnam Open held in Korea in 2023.
Chhetri, who won a gold medal at the G-2 World Ranking Korean Open International Tournament in 2008, was appointed vice president of the Overseas Department of World Taekwondo (WT) in April.
