Kathmandu: Times Basketball Club, the winner of the National Basketball Championship, is set to compete in the SABA Club Championship to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Madras, India, from April 3 to 7. 

The championship being organized for the first time will feature the league champions from the South Asian teams  including the host India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan, and Bhutan. 

Times will face Colombo BC of Sri Lanka in their first match. 

Sadhish Pradhan, a member of the Times and the national captain, informed that the team has been training since the national championship, and preparations were satisfactory.

Nepal Basketball Association president Bhim Singh Gurung, general secretary Narendra Thapa, along with the Board of Directors of Times College Sujan Aryal and Vishnu Pandey, bade farewell to the Times team. The team is scheduled to depart for India on Monday.
