Nepali movie Pitambar ties up with NSL as movie partner

Kathmandu: The much-awaited Nepali movie Pitambar, set to release on Chait 29 (April 11), has tied up with the third edition of the Nepal Super League (NSL), a franchise football tournament, set to kick off on March 29. 

The film has partnered with NSL as a movie partner for the tournament featuring seven franchise teams of the country. Director Krisha Chaulagain has expressed happiness for being associated with the movie.  

“Sports and movies have become part of life for the Nepali audience. We are confident that this partnership will also help promote each other,” said Chaulagain.

The film produced under the banners of KP Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films features multi stars including Pradeep Khadka, Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla, Aryan Sigdel, Anup Bikram Shahi, Suraksha Pant and Gauri Mall among others. 

Vishal Chaulagain is the producer while Purushottam Pradhan, Aadhya Lamichhane and Aaroh Chaulagain are co-producers. Suman Gautam is the executive producer. Pradeep Bhardwaj and Abhimanyu Nirvi have taken charge of screenplay and dialogue. Sher Bahadur Lama and Manakrishna Maharjan are the cinematography, Bande Prasad is the editor. RR Films have acquired the distribution rights. 

Defending champions Lalitpur City FC will vie against Kathmandu Rayzers in the tournament opener on Saturday. Star singer cum performer Durgesh Thapa is set to perform during the opening ceremony.
