Kathmandu: Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association (NSSA) is set to organise the Eighth National Skateboard Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Skaters Nepal Skatepark in Tokha, Kathmandu.

Organising a press conference on Tuesday, NSSA president Achyut Khanal said that the best trick and best run will be held under freestyle category. Altogether, 400 skaters are expected to compete in the event including 250 male and 150 female players.

Players from all seven provinces will compete in the event. Qualifying event will be held on Friday and the main event including the final will be played on Saturday.  The top three finishers in both male and female category will receive cash prize of Rs25,000, Rs20,000 and Rs15,000.
