Kathmandu: National Sports Council (NSC) and Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) welcomed and congratulated the newly elected executive Committee of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) amidst separate functions in Kathmandu.

NSC welcomed the newly elected committee led by president Niranjan Adhikari at member secretary Tanka Lal Ghising’s office in Tripureshwar on Tuesday.

Wishing for a successful tenure, NOC welcomed the NSJF committee on Wednesday at Hotel Royal Singi in Kathmandu.

NSJF, the umbrella organisation of sports journalists in the country, had elected a new committee on May 8 for a three-year tenure.

NOC president Jeevan Ram Shrestha emphasised the enduring collaboration between the two organisations in promoting the Olympic movement in the country.

Extending his wishes for successful tenure, NSC member secretary Ghising expressed his desire to collaborate with NSJF in hosting programs related to sports and sports journalism. He was full of praise for the annual Sports Awards being organised by NSJF.

NSJF president Adhikari thanked both the organisations and expressed confidence that their relationship will grow even stronger, paving the way for ever more creative and constructive cooperation in advancing Nepali sports to greater heights.
